My Top 10 Favorite Oils
I get asked ALL the time what my favorite oils are, so here's a rundown (in no particular order) of what I use on a daily basis and why!:
Frankincense: this is a wood resin tree oil, so just like a tree, it is VERY grounding and calming. Using either the pre-diluted (contains coconut oil) Frankincense Touch rollerball or the actual bottle of oil, I apply a drop to the back of my neck when I need to relax AND every morning and night mixed in with my daily moisturizer for healthy skin!
OnGuard Blend: this is an immune support blend made up of wild orange, clove, cinnamon, rosemary, eucalyptus - I particularly love it in the on-the-go beadlet form, but there is an entire range of wellness and household products that exists: Concentrate Cleaner for the home, Softgels for seasonal support, Sanitizing Mist to use on-the-go, Laundry Detergent, Toothpaste and more!
Wild Orange: this beautiful citrus oil is both calming and energizing depending on what you intuitively need (use a drop on the stomach or inhale) - and, bonus: it makes a great polish for wood, too!
Lemon: one of my favorite oils to clean with, this oil is an instant mental energizer when deeply inhaled and high school and college students LOVE this oil to focus with for academics!
Melaleuca (Tea Tree Oil): I LOVE the pre-diluted Touch version of this that contains fractionated coconut oil because I mix it with the Frankincense Touch, a drop of Geranium and my daily moisturizer and I'm good to go on glowing skin! SO many families I know love to use it for skin irritations, bug bites and in general to create a calm, relaxing environment.
Breathe Blend: I use this every single night with a drop of Lavender to sleep both deeply and for a long time - it is the Respiratory Blend and helps me to, simply put, breathe well. Cannot live without it and it's wonderful blend of peppermint, cardamom, lemon, eucalyptus and more. Available in oil, vapor stick and throat drop form - families LOVE it!
Peppermint: Peppermint smells just like a sweet candy cane and, combined with lavender, especially, is used for headaches (on the temples), nausea (on the stomach), sunburn (directly on the skin to cool it down) and mental focus (deeply inhaled). I get a free bottle of this every year when I pay $25 to renew my DoTerra membership, so it's a win-win! Bonus: Bugs do NOT like peppermint at all because it has a powerful scent, so feel free to swipe a drop from a cotton ball in areas where they like to hang :)
DigestZen Blend: This blend was formulated to help with digestion - and it does just that. I use the Touch version on-the-go and rub this clockwise on my belly to help after a big meal! Contains fennel, peppermint, ginger, anise seed and more as a nice herbal alternative.
Lavender: Lavender is one of the first oils that others think about when you mention "essential oils" to them because it's such a relaxing oil. But did you know that it can be used for skin redness, in meditation and yoga, as well as being the oil of communication? It is also in every product of the DoTerra Baby Collection because it is so gentle and lovely :)
Serenity Blend: Serenity takes lavender up one notch to really help with sleepy time. Also available in softgel form (and a beautiful bath bar!), it is one of the first products I recommend to families and those who simply want to uplevel from lavender for rest and relaxation with ylang ylang flower, chamomile, cedarwood, marjoram, vanilla, vetiver and sandalwood).
BONUS: Deep Blue Blend: I purchased this blend (also available as a rub, supplement capsules, oil and roll-on) because I after hiking a lot, I became pretty sore. I also mix the Touch version (gentler than the rub) with Frankincense anytime I have aches and pains because they work well together for bruises, etc. on a physical level. My family LOVES it and athletes and laborpersons do, too!
