The Sensitive Child and Adult: Top 7 Traits
Something that gets overlooked often in families is how much and how well we are able to express our emotions - not only for ourselves, but around others (especially those who matter to us the most).
As someone who was a pretty sensitive child (as others referred to me as) who then went on to be a sensitive adult, I wanted to talk here about some of the traits I find not only in myself, but in families whom I work with. (Please note that the last bonus trait: sensitivity is a STRENGTH. I say all of these things not to overgeneralize or stereotype or label in a negative way, but to bring a positive light to something that others may experience).
What are your thoughts? Are these accurate to you or could you add more?
